Clean water, fresh food, healthcare, housing: how can the PVC industry answer to society’s needs? This will be the central theme of this year’s Vinyl Sustainability Forum, organized by VinylPlus, the sustainable development programme of the European PVC industry.

On the 16th and the 17th of May, industry representatives from all the world, EU institutions and UN agencies will gather in Madrid to discuss how vinyl can deliver on sustainable prosperity. They will reflect on the role PVC must play in achieving the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and on the adequacy of the current rules on plastics at the European and global level. A key focus will be on policy frameworks and agreements between governments, political groups and industries to identify drivers that can incentivize businesses to align with the SDGs.

VinylPlus® is the Voluntary Commitment by the European PVC industry. The programme establishes a long-term framework for the sustainable development of the PVC industry by tackling a number of critical challenges in the EU-28, Norway and Switzerland.
